La lettera aperta delle associazioni IRC e Capo Marturano rivolte al Sindaco di Bagnara, Cesare Zappia, non potevano passare inosservate o senza cassa di risonanza.
Già la settimana scorsa si è tenuto un primo incontro tra i Presidenti delle Associazioni, Maria Rosaria Gioffrè e Benvenuto Sofia, e il primo cittadino, che hanno ricevuto risposte al riguardo di molti dei punti espressi nella lettera, e un nuovo incontro di aggiornamento si terrà questo venerdì.
Proprio Benvenuto Sofia, presidente dell’Associazione Capo Marturano, è stato ieri ospite di Radiobagnaraweb, all’interno del programma di Claudia Roldi, “Così è se vi pare”, per esporre pubblicamente la versione dei fatti dopo l’incontro col sindaco di venerdì scorso: “Ringraziamo il dott.Zappia per la disponibilità dimostrata nei nostri confronti” ha esordito il Presidente Sofia negli studi di RBW “La lettera che abbiamo scritto era volta a sensibilizzare la cittadinanza e a cercare risposte su argomenti di primaria importanza”.
La lettera, scritta di comune accordo con Maria Rosaria Gioffrè di “Insieme per Riaprire la Città”, rivolgeva domande al primo cittadino riguardo il degrado sociale-igienico in cui versa il paese da qualche anno a questa parte, in particolar modo riguardo la presenza di immondizia, rifiuti e topi in tutto il paese, nonché sulla problematica relativa all’acqua non potabile: “Il problema dell’acqua sembra essere stato risolto, si trattava di una frana che ha colpito le vasche, rendendola inquinata. La S.O.R.I.C.A.L. dovrebbe svolgere ulteriori analisi prima di revocare definitivamente l’ordinanza di non potabilità. Non si tratta quindi di un problema batteriologico, ma di un problema contingente alle frane di qualche giorno fa”.
Relativamente al problema delle feci canine, si è disposto un protocollo di accordo con la L.I.P.U. che consenta di sorvegliare l’operato dei proprietari di animali, anche se la conduttrice Claudia, suffragata da Benvenuto Sofia, ha sollevato la questione se un paese in deficit ha necessità di andare a sottoscrivere accordi con associazioni esterne per il controllo del territorio.
Sofia si è soffermato, inoltre, sul problema della scuola media, il cui edificio attuale non è più agibile, e sulla consegna della biblioteca/auditorium di Via Pavia: “Sono due tematiche di primaria importanza, sia per i nostri figli che hanno bisogno di una scuola agibile da poter frequentare, sia per quanto riguarda l’auditorium, che consentirebbe al paese di offrire una novità rilevante in rapporto al degrado sociale in cui alberga”.
Il nuovo incontro tra le associazioni e il Sindaco è fissato per questo venerdì, dove sicuramente emergeranno altre tematiche di primario interesse per Bagnara.

L'Auditorium ha un problema serio: per mantenerlo aperto e in funzione, occorrerebbero due impiegati e un inserviente. O si prelevano dall'organico del Municipio ora in essere, o non vi sono denari per assumere così tanta gente.
Inoltre: dal momento in cui entrerebbe in funzione, aumenterebbero per il Municipio i costi per utenze. Vale insomma lo stesso discorso del Palazzo Ruffo-Porelli. Una volta terminato il restauro che si fa? Chi lo mantiene in funzione?
Le feci canine: il controllo deve essere effettuato dai VV.UU. che rondano con le biciclette anche per elevare contravvenzioni ai parcheggiatori abusivi.
Acqua: i tubi sono un colabrodo a cui aggiungere, nei mesi caldi, le ruberie dell'acqua? Magari con cessioni compiacenti? Perché se così non fosse, per carità! Fermiamoci colla pubblicità "turistica"! Visto che non siamo capaci di garantire gli essenziali servizi infrastrutturali. E se in effetti i tubi sono da rifare, allora chiediamoci: il Municipio non ha i denari. Perché non li ha? Cosa se ne fa? Tutti i Bagnaroti pagano le imposte? Viene regolarmente chiesto a TUTTI i Bagnaroti di pagare le imposte comunali?
