Non si è fatta attendere la replica della Commissione Pari Opportunità di Bagnara alle contestazioni ricevute il 19 dicembre nel corso del Consiglio Comunale da parte degli esponenti di minoranza Tino Demaio, Francesco Rottura e Antonino Lopresto.
La vicepresidente del Comitato, Anna Golotta, ha chiesto e ottenuto di essere invitata come ospite a RadioBagnaraWeb nel corso del Friday Night Show condotto da Pierfrancesco Zoccali per replicare in particolare agli attacchi a lei diretti, ed è stata in questo affiancata da due membri della commissione, Maria Carmela Tripodi e Miriam Minutolo, nonché dalla presidentessa Silvana Ruggiero, intervenuta telefonicamente.
Il nodo della questione era la presunta illegittimità di costituzione della Commissione, a detta degli esponenti di minoranza violata dall’Amministrazione all’atto di costituzione, essendo venuti meno i requisiti previsti dall’Articolo 5 del regolamento della commissione pari opportunità approvato con delibera consiliare n.24 del 21-04-2005, che prevedeva la nomina di dieci membri all’interno della Commissione, scelti equamente da maggioranza e minoranza.
“Si è fatto un gran trambusto per nulla, due ore di Consiglio comunale occupate a disquisire sulla legittimità o meno di una commissione che opera per il bene collettivo” ha tuonato Maria Carmela Tripodi, ultimo membro nominato in ordine di tempo su volere della presidentessa Silvana Ruggiero, e per una sera nelle vesti di ospite anziché di speaker di RadioBagnaraWeb.
Significativo l’intervento della Minutolo, che ha fatto notare come i membri della Commissione abbiano rinunciato al gettone di presenza in ossequio al periodo di crisi economica attraversato dal Comune di Bagnara: “Hanno detto che la nostra commissione è illegittima. Noi abbiamo invece voluto dare un segnale a questo paese, rinunciando al gettone di presenza per non gravare sull’erario pubblico. Il consigliere Rottura ha dichiarato che la scelta è stata solo nostra? Io rispondo a Rottura che anche i consiglieri in carica dovrebbero fare lo stesso per dare un segnale alla comunità”.
Particolarmente dibattuta la posizione di Anna Golotta, la vicepresidente del Comitato, il cui nome è stato proposto dai rappresentanti del Partito Democratico. A gettare benzina sul fuoco, è arrivato l’intervento telefonico di Giusy Versace, segretario del PD di Bagnara Calabra, che ha dichiarato: “Sebbene condividessi la scelta di Anna Golotta come espressione del mio partito, devo stigmatizzare l’operato di Felice Maceri e Francesco Oliverio (consiglieri del PD, n.d.r.) che hanno fatto il suo nome senza consultarci. A me non è stata data neanche la possibilità di esprimere la mia opinione”.
Piccata la risposta di Anna Golotta: “Le spaccature interne del PD non sono di mio interesse né del comitato Pari Opportunità. Noi siamo qui per operare per il bene comune e abbiamo già iniziato la nostra opera da settimane. Il vostro non è un attacco al comitato, ma un attacco alle persone”. La Golotta ha, inoltre, espressamente ringraziato Felice Maceri per il supporto datole in Consiglio.
Nel corso della trasmissione è intervenuto telefonicamente anche il Sindaco di Bagnara, Cesare Zappia, per esprimere la sua solidarietà alle donne facenti parte della commissione e invitandole a proseguire la propria opera, che le vede in questi giorni impegnate nelle scuole superiori, medie ed elementari per sensibilizzare i giovani sul tema delle pari opportunità.
