Si svolgerà venerdì 20 dicembre presso il Grand Hotel Victoria di Bagnara Calabra, l’interessante quanto attuale convegno sul tema della raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti solidi urbani.
Il Club Lions di Bagnara, nello svolgere la sua statutaria attività al servizio dei cittadini e dell’intero territorio, pone con il convegno di venerdì un altro importante tassello al mosaico che corona la sua instancabile opera di cittadinanza attiva con iniziative finalizzate alla valorizzazione del territorio.
Il convegno, come pensato dai Lions di Bagnara, apre alla grande partecipazione dei cittadini e ha come fine la diffusione di una sensibilità ai problemi ambientali attraverso l'ascolto di una pluralità di esempi positivi e concreti della nostra Provincia, seguendo il motto “Conoscere e Educare per saper fare”.
Il tema di assoluta attualità, porterà a Bagnara le esperienze dei comuni di Roccella e Cittanova che nel giro di pochi anni sono riusciti ad ottenere nella gestione dei rifiuti e nell’educazione ambientale riconoscimenti eccellenti per il loro virtuosismo nella raccolta differenziata. Ascoltare la storia di chi prima di noi ha risalito la china può rappresentare una guida ed uno stimolo a fare sempre meglio, a migliorare modalità e procedure per "differenziarci in positivo".
Da queste riflessioni è nato il convegno organizzato dal Lions Club “Torre Ruggero” che si svolgerà il prossimo 20 dicembre dalle ore 17:00 presso il Grand Hotel Victoria di Bagnara Calabra come prima tappa di un progetto più ampio che proseguirà coinvolgendo i piccoli studenti delle scuole cittadine.
Il club Lions Città di Bagnara doterà queste scuole di contenitori box colorati per creare delle aree ecologiche per la raccolta differenziata, all’interno delle aule e saranno inoltre programmati particolari interventi formativi/informativi e di sensibilizzazione per ragazzi e giovani di Bagnara in accordo con la dirigenza scolastica e grazie al contributo degli esperti della ProCiv di Rizziconi.

Antonino Gerace, Presidente della PROCIV di Rizziconi.
All'incontro parteciperà l'Assessore all'Organiz. e gestione dei servizi ambientali del Comune di Bagnara Sig. Vincenzo Bagnato che, illustrerà il progetto in atto della raccolta differenziata nel nostro territorio. Saluterà gli ospiti, il Primo Cittadino di Bagnara, Dott. Cesare Zappia, il Presidente del Lions Club “Torre Ruggero” Dott. Paolo Strati e il Presidente dell'VIII Circoscrizione Lions, Dott. Giovanni Micalizzi. Il convegno sarà presentato e moderato dalla giornalista Dott.ssa Roberta Macrì. Nelle sale del convegno saranno esposte opere d'arte realizzate con materiali di recupero nel“Ri-CREA tion” dell'artista Valentina Leuzzi.
