Interpellato da RadioBagnaraWeb sull’allerta meteo scattata in tutti i comuni della Calabria tirrenica, Antonello Imbesi, responsabile della M.A.O.X.S.E.D.D. Dipartimento Protezione Civile e Guardie Ambientali divisione Garibaldini del Capitano Ultimo, ha mostrato una panoramica generale del paese di Bagnara Calabra a seguito dell’allerta meteo di 24 ore fa.
“Sono stato allertato dalla Regione Calabria, sede di Reggio Calabria e siamo stati attivati dal sindaco per l’emergenza, iniziando a controllare il territorio, andando a controllare gli argini dei fiumi, il corretto deflusso dell’acqua e la sua eventuale abbondanza” ha affermato Imbesi “Io mi auguro che non succeda nulla, in quanto se dovesse succedere qualcosa la situazione è grave, perché Bagnara non è pronta e il cittadino non è sufficientemente informato. Con il Sindaco Cesare Zappia abbiamo ideato un piano di informazione dei cittadini, magari affiggendo cartelli e segnaletiche che indichino le basilari norme in caso di emergenza ed eventuali vie di fuga. Purtroppo negli ultimi tempi il problema della sicurezza del territorio e il dissesto idrogeologico sono passati in second’ordine a causa di altre problematiche”.
Il responsabile del Dipartimento di Protezione civile ha dichiarato che nei giorni scorsi le guardie ambientali si erano già attivate per monitorare lo stato dei luoghi: “Uno di quelli che stiamo tenendo maggiormente sotto controllo è il Vardaru, in quanto non scende acqua. Sul letto del fiume abbiamo rilevato la presenza di baracche costruite da giardini e addirittura costruzioni in cemento armato. Sarebbe richiesto l’intervento dell’ufficio tecnico per far togliere quanto ostruisce i corsi d’acqua”.
Imbesi si sofferma particolarmente sui rischi che Bagnara potrebbe correre in caso questo Super-ciclone si rivelasse realtà: “Questa allerta meteo è un’allerta da tenere in considerazione. I più pericolosi sono i corsi d’acqua che, se sono stati deviati c’è il rischio che il terreno si impantani con rischio frane. Se il terreno è ostruito è peggio, perché si riempie e forma una diga, rischiando di travolgere tutto quello che trova davanti”.
A 24 ore dalla diramazione dell’allerta meteo, ancora non sono stati rilevati fenomeni di intensità preoccupante nel territorio di Bagnara Calabra, mentre immagini preoccupanti giungono dalla Piana di Gioia Tauro, dalla Ionica e dal Crotonese, e resta dunque vivo l’allarme per la giornata di domenica, che a detta degli esperti dovrebbe essere quella cruciale.
