Il Vicesindaco di Bagnara Calabra Giuseppe Spoleti, conferma la sua fama di uomo politico che non le manda a dire. Ad una settimana dall’intervento del Consigliere Comunale ed ex delegato alle Politiche Sociali Giuseppe Surace, non si è fatta attendere la replica da parte dell’attuale delegato per rispondere alle accuse d’indolenza dell’amministrazione alle richieste del Conisigliere Surace: “Io non so tuttora quali siano stati i reali motivi della dipartita dell’amico Surace da delegato alle Politiche Sociali” ha dichiarato il Vicesindaco negli studi di RBW ai microfoni di Pierfrancesco Zoccali e Maria Carmela Tripodi all’interno del Friday Night Show, il “salotto” politico- settimanale, ormai appuntamento fisso per gli appassionati di politica e tematiche sociali “ma è del tutto falso che abbia lasciato l’ incarico per i motivi da lui addotti, e cioè che l’ amministrazione non abbia acconsentito alle sue richieste in ambito sociale”.
Il vicesindaco si è soffermato su alcuni degli interventi che, a suo dire, l’amministrazione ha intrapreso dal suo ingresso in carica, tra cui l’assegnazione all’A.G.E.S.S. di Silvana Ruggiero dei locali di Porelli come nuova sede dell’ente e l’imminente apertura dell’auditorium, specificando che dopo l’abbandono di Surace dalla carica, l’amministrazione attualmente in carica ha affrontato anche il gravoso compito di riconciliare la propria posizione con quella delle associazioni di Bagnara Calabra.
All’interno dello Show del venerdì sera hanno preso parte anche Vera Barilà, corrispondente del Quotidiano della Calabra, e Miriam Minutolo, membro della neonata Commissione Pari Opportunità e della Commissione D.E.C.O., intervenute per discutere insieme allo stesso Spoleti di alcuni tra i temi di maggiore interesse in questo momento a Bagnara Calabra.
La Barilà ha stuzzicato la curiosità degli ascoltatori, ponendo al vicesindaco domande su quale sia attualmente il suo schieramento politico dopo la scissione del PDL a livello nazionale, domande a cui Spoleti ha risposto con notevole ironia.
Si è affrontato naturalmente il tema della Commissione Pari Opportunità, voluta fortemente da Spoleti e attualmente guidata da Silvana Ruggiero, di cui Miriam Minutolo ha tracciato le linee guida: “E’ una commissione nata con l’intento di rivalutare il ruolo della donna nella nostra società, dove ancora è vittima di discriminazioni, e abbiamo fatto nostro il programma della legge sul femminicidio” ha dichiarato la Minutolo “La nostra prima iniziativa sarà quella di invitare la cittadinanza a esporre un drappo rosso il 25 novembre prossimo come simbolo della lotta alla violenza sulle donne e abbiamo fatto nostro lo slogan Se il tuo sogno d’amore finisce a botte, svegliati, per sensibilizzare le coscienze”.
Il vicesindaco Giuseppe Spoleti si è soffermato maggiormente sul recente ingresso del Comune di Bagnara Calabra come capofila delle città aderenti alla convenzione del PISL “Le Terre della Fata Morgana”: “E’ un grande progetto di cui siamo orgogliosi di far parte, che consentirà ai comuni di Bagnara, Scilla, Villa S.Giovanni, Palmi e Seminara di innalzare i propri standard a livello di accoglienza”. Gli fa eco la Minutolo, da anni operatrice del settore turistico, che ha parlato di “coesione tra privato e pubblica amministrazione per offrire dei migliori standard qualitativi al turista”.
Infine, parole d’elogio hanno speso gli ospiti in studio per l’altra commissione da poco formata, la D.E.C.O. (Denominazione Comunale), che andrà a vagliare la qualità dei prodotti tipici locali ai fini di una più sicura produzione ed esportazione.
